Success for SFW and Acuity

Acuity Risk Management LLP is a provider of Risk Management consultancy and software solutions. The company was set up with the intention of creating a software product (STREAM) which would enable the easy visibility and management of enterprise wide risks. Acuity approached SFW to build STREAM. They commented at the end of the project "You need to trust your 'Agile' supplier". SFW earned our trust in the  development phase giving us confidence to switch to Agile development"

After a traditional waterfall development cycle was completed, this was switched to an Agile methodology as this improved and developed several areas to Acuity's requirements.  Working closely with SFW meant that Acuity was able to customise STREAM to their client's requirements leading to increased sales potential.  This included a professional look and feel to the interface - essential for the enterprise market Acuity targets. They were very pleased with the progress made during each two-week intensive development iterations.

Close development contacts with SFW meant Acuity were able to prioritise those features which would bring business benefits and so had control over the development process.  They particularly liked:

• Regular feedback and input on product development;
• Better control over the development process;
• Regular deployable releases;
• Ability to prioritise development work which would lead to sales;
• Increased control over development budget.
