SIA - Security Industry Authority
Supporting the SIA's key systems and in its new website deployment

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is the organisation responsible for regulating the private security industry. It has two main duties: the compulsory licensing of individuals undertaking certain designated activities and managing the voluntary Approved Contractor Scheme. It is an independent body reporting to the Home Secretary under the terms of the Private Security Industry Act 2001. Its mission is to regulate the private security industry effectively; to reduce criminality, raise standards and recognise quality service within the UK.

Delivering a Working Website

Having worked with the SIA for over 5 years, delivering support, hosting, development and monitoring services, SFW was engaged to complete the SIA's website delivery when its website supplier failed to meet requirements. SFW immediately mobilised to address the immediate issues preventing successful deployment, such as bug fixing and the integration of 3rd party tools.

Within 2 weeks, SFW was able to address all of the critical issues and deliver a fully functioning website, suitable for final deployment. The SIA now has a fully functioning, fully supported website, with the surety that this support will ensure on-going stability for the website.
