Greta International Ltd (GIL) offers collaboration around, and services for, the Greta Registry - an Emissions Trading Registry software application.
Developing Software to Meet Legislative Requirements
GIL is the largest emission trading registry applications provider in the world, with 10 Licensees (each of which is an EU country). GIL also provides a collaborative forum for knowledge sharing and capacity building between Licensees and members. SFW has been working alongside GIL for a number of years and, in January 2009, took on the on-going build and maintenance of the Greta Registry.
Following the initial take-on period, there was an urgent need to produce a new software version (Version 4.0) within a month in order in order to be in compliance with European Legislation. The software release was delivered on time and met legislative requirements. It also included significant usability improvements, as well as introducing enhancements collaborative elements of the Support Services system which improved and increased communications between Licensees.

In fact, since SFW's incumbency began, overall licensee and user satisfaction has improved dramatically and, in some areas, has trebled.
