Boomerang Family

Boomerang Family, formerly Cube Publications, recognised that there was a business opportunity in translating the ‘Let’s Go with the Children’ data onto a digital platform. It was expected that this platform would facilitate the provision of new and improved services for customers, make time-sensitive information available, enrich data and facilitate the generation of additional revenue streams.
It was envisaged that this would include the addition of :

  • A Content Management system so that Cube staff could add new and update existing information and advertisements quickly and easily, without significant overheads
  • New revenue streams via the sale of advertising space to suitable suppliers / attractions
  • A subscription / membership system
  • Search functionality, listing attractions and events by type,  price, distance from a given postcode etc.
  • A new module containing birthday party venue and supplier information
  • Shopping functionality for customers to buy hard copy publications and other merchandise, as well as membership subscriptions
  • Better data capture functionality and better, more granular data on subscribers.

The new website allows Boomerang Family to deliver an enriched service and offerings to subscribers as well as improve their own data. Among the benefits are :

  • Improved services such as time-sensitive offers and the provision of search functionality to customers / subscribers which  enriches the user experience and allows families to pre-plan  days out and holiday excursions
  • Deeper and more interactive customer relationships through digital medium, including the ability to offer personalised competitions and discounts
  • Improved data capture and storage, enabling better, more personalised targeting
  • Content updates and amendments to advertising are now made swiftly and effectively via the new CMS, as and when required, without the need for external intervention
  • New modules such as birthday party venue and supplier listings can now be added, with minimal overheads
  • Additional revenue streams from advertising and through shopping function
  • Increased subscription rate via ease of referrals.
