SFW is seeking a Microsoft SharePoint Developer to join its exceptional team

Woking, Surrey

Remuneration:

Up to £45k p.a.

Hours:

37.5 per week

Reporting to:

Project Manager

Job purpose:

SFW is looking for a self-starting team player to join its exceptional team as a Microsoft SharePoint developer, providing consulting and development services to customers who are planning to adopt Microsoft’s SharePoint 2010 platform. Candidates must have a good honours degree and significant knowledge and experience of architecting, implementing and deploying SharePoint solutions.

Experience Required

Essential

  • Academic excellence with a minimum of a Second Class, Upper Division degree
  • Significant experience  in building enterprise applications on Microsoft technologies, with particular specialism in SharePoint and SQL Server 2005+
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment.

Desirable

  • ASP.NET and C# /VB.NET
  • Integration technologies
  • JQuery
  • Performance Point
  • Experience of delivery within the public sector.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Gather customer requirements using a range of business analysis skills including workshops with client stakeholders
  • Design, develop and document the solution using SFW's established methodology
  • Design and documentation of Site styling and configuration using best practice
  • Development of user interface and functional extensions (using .NET, Web parts, XML, SQL Server, etc.)
  • Ensuring all elements of the solution are appropriately tested and meet client's acceptance criteria
  • Operational deployment and support for SharePoint platforms
  • Authoring end user and technical documentation and preparing and providing client training
  • Liaising with clients, team members, project managers and sales to ensure successful delivery
  • Attending Microsoft technology briefings to maintain technical knowledge and skills.
