IT Sales Consultant SFW is looking for an experienced Sales Consultant to assist it in achieving its service and solutions revenue goals in the UK Public Sector

Role:  IT Sales Consultant 

Location:  Woking, Surrey

Remuneration:  £60 - 80K OTE

Description:

To play an integral role in assisting SFW in achieving its corporate sales and revenue goals by increasing revenue from existing clients and winning new clients in both new and existing markets.
Specifically, this will entail the successful candidate carrying out direct sales activities within a defined client base, so as to maintain and develop sales of SFW’s professional services and solutions to a range of major UK public sector accounts. 

Experience Required:

Essential

  • Public Sector professional services sales experience
  • Academic excellence, achieving A/B at A level and with a minimum of a Second Class, Upper Division degree 
  • Proven ability, experience and success in winning new business
  • Understanding and experience of of the service sales model
  • Proven success in winning business via competitive tender
  • Proven success within a consultative sales environment
  • Networking skills
  • Self diary management and appointment booking
  • Confident, assured presentation skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within an organisation

Desirable

  • A deep understanding of the Public Sector Market, particularly Central Government
  • An understanding of software development and project management methodologies
  • Experience of selling Microsoft technologies such as MOSS 2007, SQL Server, .NET, BizTalk and Dynamics CRM


Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  1. Exceed individual sales targets as well as assist the company achieve both revenue and non-revenue based targets
  2. Exceed all other metric targets such as meetings, calls and tender responses
  3. Plan and carry out sales campaigns to develop new business opportunities through use of telesales and other media
  4. Attend SFW marketing events and follow up allocated leads
  5. Develop and manage sales pipeline for nominated accounts
  6. Create and maintain an account plan for each of the nominated accounts
  7. Respond to public sector notices where there is an opportunity to sell SFW services within nominated accounts
  8. Project manage and produce tender documentation
  9. Lead new business sales meetings, where applicable, and account management meetings with existing client base
  10. Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned, individual account support and liaison with SFW on-site staff
  11. Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information
  12. Liaise with, and attend meetings with, other company functions as necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development
  13. Maintain and  develop relevant product knowledge and Microsoft sales skills
  14. Maintain and develop SFW’s customer and prospect database.
