Applications Support Analyst SFW is seeking an Applications Support Analyst to provide Managed Service Applications Support to SFW Clients

Reporting to:

Service Delivery Manager

Job purpose:

SFW is looking for a self-starting team player to join its exceptional team as an Applications Support Analyst, providing managed service applications support to SFW clients. Candidates must have an excellent academic background with a good honours degree and some experience in an IT environment.

Experience Required

Essential

  • Academic excellence with a minimum of a Second Class, Upper Division IT related (preferred) or non IT degree
  • Some experience in an IT environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment
  • Microsoft Office 2003/2007
  • Microsoft Visio
  • Windows XP, Vista, 7, including IE 6,7,8

Desirable

  • Service Desk Tools
  • Windows 2003/2008
  • General Network knowledge

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  1. Liaise with Public and Private sector clients regarding managed service applications support
  2. To control the support desk with a ITIL incident management process and to handle 1st/2nd line incidents/problems 
  3. Log and process calls professionally using a Service Desk tool
  4. Liaise with software developers to ensure calls are resolved 
  5. Provide technical expertise to 1st  and 2nd line support incidents
  6. Supporting and implementing ITIL processes with application support
    • Incident Management
    • Change Management
    • Problem Management
    • Release Management
  7. Collaborating with other team members (project manager, developer, etc.) 
  8. Carry out scheduled tasks which may include operational changes
  9. Support Internal SFW staff
  10. Willing to learn other areas within managed services, such as IT infrastructure
  11. To provide exceptional customer service with a pro-active approach to all tasks
  12. Have good written and verbal skills with sound use of English
  13. Be exceptionally organized when dealing with clients
