Protecting the planet by minimising National, Organisational and even personal carbon emissions has become a key issue on the global agenda in recent years. This has resulted in the growth of mechanisms to control and manage carbon emissions on a national and international basis. And, as a result of the Kyoto protocol, emissions control and management has now extended to include further greenhouse gases.
Emissions Trading Registries
Trading Registries are required in order to successfully manage and offset carbon usage against National and Organisational allocations. One of these is the Greta Registry, an Emissions Trading Registry Software Application from Greta International Ltd (GIL).
GIL is the largest emissions tradng registry application provider in the world, with 10 licensees (each licensee being an invidual country). SFW has been working alongside GIL for a number of years and, in January 2009, took on the ongoing build and maintenance of the Greta registry.
